I have always been fascinated by the human body, and really enjoy helping people feel revitalized. I got into massage originally when I was travelling in Thailand and did a traditional Thai massage course, and my interest grew from there. I’m so grateful to have found this path, as it’s given me such an enriching understanding of human health, and a hunger to keep learning more. Acupuncture has opened up so much more knowledge and skills to me, and I increasingly see how things (bodily tissues, systems, the mind-body) are connected and how various approaches can complement or be informed by each other in order to help the individual.
I completed a BTEC Level 4 in holistic massage, a BTEC Level 5 in sports and remedial massage, a diploma in pregnancy massage, a diploma in manual lymphatic drainage (Vodder Technique), and a diploma in Thai massage from Chiang Mai, Thailand. Alongside those main qualifications, I have done various Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, e.g. in myofascial release. For acupuncture, I gained a First Class degree (BSc) from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading, a leading institution, from where I also gained my Tui na diploma. I was taught by leading practitioners, who inspired me in many different ways, and I am continually inspired to keep learning. I enjoy doing my CPD, researching and reading – Chinese Medicine is a life-long training.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authorities (PSA). You can read more about them and about acupuncture at: https://www.acupuncture.org.uk/.
In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, Qigong, outdoor swimming, walking and cycling. And baking, dancing and seeing live music!
I treat clients at my home clinic in Hornsey, north London (near Archway/Crouch End), and at a central Brighton clinic (near Brighton station).
